Default Volvo 760 B280F upgrade

Hello,
So i just bought a 760 volvo brick from '88, everything points that it has the "worse" B280F engine. So i'm wondering if there is any way to get a bit more out of that engine?
I read that just swapping the cams from "E" would do some solid + 20/30 hp. Is it true? And whats the other options to make the increase in power and at the same time not going too
crazy to having to swap whole driveshaft?
Thanks

No expert on that b280f, and never heard of anyone who is. Very unloved Volvo (PRV) motor. Not to say that someone somewhere is not doing interesting things with it...

Back then I was replacing cams in many cars with the 6 cyl engines. To do so unless you removed the engine - you drill holes in the firewall for the rocker shaft and the camshaft (obviously on both sides) - that was the only way to get both out of the engine. Then filled the holes the rubber plugs. Ah - good times - I used to say if someone gave me a Volvo with that v-6 engine - I would give it away (instead of fixing it) .

Now it would be fun (and I have seen it done) to put the 4cyl turbo in - with an intercooler if you wanted more power. You would have a much more reliable product.
