Default What is Lamda & Lambfa

Just curious as to what these initials stand for. I have not found an explanation in the search other than it is related to long term fuel trim. What do the letters actually stand for?

If anyone knows I would love to find out.

Thanks, Pedro

Not sure about the letters. I believe it is just a different language for the meaning of Oxygen sensor.

I'm not sure what you are referring to but lambda is a greek letter. Those words are in common use in physics and chemistry like theta, beta. Anyways, Hyundai has their engine named theta for 2.4L and lambda for 3.3L
