I went to all 3 of my local auto parts stores and they didn't have one. Where can I buy a 21 mm square-end tool for my tensioner? I found some for upwards of $45 online. I know that a guy that makes Volvo Youtube videos had some yellow pieces for sale, but I'm not sure what would be best for me.

I have a 1996 Volvo 960.

 

You could get a 1/2" to 3/4" adapter for your 1/2" ratchet. Not sure of there is enough room to fit it all in though.

I use a 1/2 to 3/4 adapter from Harbor Freight on their breaker bar.

Since this is not in front of the fan, clearance is OK.
