Need new remote -old only unlocks the car, does not lock it.
I wonder if I can get a NEW OEM remote cheaper then from a dealer (~$100-$110) ?

Do they both work? I am assuming that all used remotes will be at least 8-9 y.old and one from e-bay will go out soon too.

 

I went to http://www.keylessride.com and got a remote for my 850 there becuase the owner before me lost it and it cost me $45 and was a new fob

 

kool_kyle_300 - I saw those on-line - is the remote easy to use? Are the buttons easily accessed/pressed?

it has 2 buttons one for unlocking and one for locking. All you have to do is hold down the unlock button and it unlocks the drivers door then all the other doors. There is no alarm button but im thinkin that is because of the model. It is about as think as 2 cds stacked together.

 

Thanks -the oem remote also has only 2 buttons.

 

What happens when you press "LOCK" button for longer than 3 seconds? Does the alarm sound?
