"map" lights
Ongoing issues with my ride.....in adition to central locking still not cooperating....(couldn't find the relay) I've now noticed that ONLY when I open my doors do the overhead or map lights not come on....so...checked the switch to set on the "door" setting...done....lights work fine all other times....all other lights that correspond with opening the doors work fine...what am I missing?

Yeah that went no where fast. I did do some patchwork just no one fell through the floor. If you read the second post from the top I had to abandon all hope of saving that car. She did pass her upcoming inspection, so she is set for another two years. I haven't driven the car in awhile because I'm at college with the newer car.
Tech, typical is right. The fact that the car is an 85 really doesn't help both because that was when they switched rust proofing techniques and before they started using galvanized steel.
