15g turbine fits 13t housing?!
I have really surprised myself this time. It turns out that the turbo I got off of an s70 was the LPT 13t model and not the 16t it should have had. I decided to fiddle and see if the 15g wheel would go into the compressor housing of the 13t and to my benefit, it did. It fits better than either wheel in its original housing. I decided to throw the car back together after testing the turbo for any grinding and run it. This little contraption actually works well! It hits peak boost pressure much faster and it doesn't fade on the high end any more than it originally did. Bonus to this is that I found the diaphragm in the recirc valve was punctured and the one on the 13t housing wasn't. I was grinning ear to ear when it snapped up on the test run.
