Hey Guys,

I have a 16T turbo... I would like to put it in my 850R for a bit more Pep. I was looking at it this morning and I noticed the turbine has a little side to side movement... how much is no good?

The Turbine also only spins for a few revolutions then stops... Shouldn't it spin really freely?

Any help would be great... I don't want to play with it if it's no good.

If you are concerned you can always rebuild it. The kits on Ebay are 60-100 depending on if you get a generic kit or a Mitsubishi. Search "TD04-16T rebuild kit" and you'll see. They aren't that hard to do is you pay attention and take your time. You either mark the wheel and reassemble with it near it's original position or send it out to have it balanced. For street driven it doesn't seem that balancing is necessary but if your were building a bigger one and going to race it balancing it would be a very good idea.

I rebuilt mine and it's frightening how dirty then can be inside with the caked up, burnt oil.
