Default 1993 850 Dash Issue

I'm a little new to owning a Volvo (used to Saabs!!!); it's a 1994 (though techically a 93) 850 Turbo Wagon, and there's bit of a dash issue. Around the middle vent, the top dash (the big mother of a piece) is not connected to the ventand around the side of the vent, it isn't attached either, and I was wondering if there was a way to fix that, possibly with a few screws or something??? And, I am having pretty much the same issue with the kickboard down by the hood release. It was sacking a bit, so I took out the thorx screw and added a washer behind it, and that seemed to help a little, but it still sags. Is there something that I can do to combat that as well???

Thanks for any input, and sorry I don't have pictures - I'm not too fond of digital cameras.

Most likely the dash is breaking apart thats why it isn't holding.

So then there's nothing I can do??? I really don't want to buy a new dash, that would be too costly.

Yes it is costly between $1200.00 to $1600.00.
You might be able to make it a major project fabricating and glueing things on and trying to fix it.

After two hours of messing with it, I fixed it. Before I got the car, the oddometer had to be fixed (the gears were stripped) and they broke off the brackets on the underside of the dash that the thorx screws fit into. I was able to find flat head screws that were a little bit longer than the thorx and just screwed them in. It's ghetto rigged, but it looks like new. Just hope the airbags don't go off and I don't get screws in my eyes! [:-]
