1993 Volvo 850 Challenges
I've owned a 1993 Volvo 850 Sedan for 11 years; Has only 90,000 miles on it, and It looks like I'm going to be driving the car for a while yet to come;
The new major sticklers that my Volvo technician has come up empty are: the dash board rattles - he says the clips are broken and there nothing he can do besides replace it at 800 bucks not counting labor. I've seen some funky fixes on forums - with epoxy and foam - but I haven't any idea of how to take off the dash board. Will I mess up the air bags?
Secondly, the ride is rough on this 850 - always has been - even after I replaced worn out shocks at about 50,000 miles. Had another 850 which had much better ride. I've had the tech. check out the suspension and shocks, and he says it's all fine. I say it's rough! When I go over pot holes or bumpy roads, I feel like the car gets banged around pretty good. In comparison, my 2008 Ford Taurus feels like it floats down the road. Any ideas from this group on suspension question? Anybody else have this issue with the 850? Any fixes?
The other problems are broken air vents in center dash, and the power drivers seat electrical switches won't go back - technician says need to replace the whole set of switches (he's tried to piece meal the situation) at a cost of 450 bucks. At this point I'm planning on biting the bullet and fixing these items, so that I can adjust my seat, and the air flow.
Thanks for any info you might have.

Dash removal and fix.

You can skip a few steps since the directions is for replacing the evaperator.
Some pics of how I repair the tabs.
What parts did you replace in the suspension?
The vents you can look at your self if you pull the dash to repair. Try to find a used seat switch.
