Recently the wind caught my trunk lid and broke the plastic hook on the end of the driver's side trunk lid shock. I know I can replace the whole shock, but does anyone know if the removable plastic hook (it screws on to the end of the shock) can be obtained separately? (Volvo dealers do not list it as a separate part number.) It seems rather costly to replace the whole thing when the plastic hook is all that is broken.

 

I haven't ever seen anyone sell them.

But a little tip of you buy a new shock buy one for a car with a spoiler. It will last longer and is heavier duty.
