Default 1994 850 turbo wagon - short trips no start

this problem with no start when the car is hot has been going on for a long time this this car, and seems like it's getting worse.

i've looked high and low and came up with this:

1) vehicle speed sensor (is this the same thing as the crank shaft position sensor?)

2) camshaft position sensor

does anyone have similiar issues with this car? is it an easy fix?

Thanks!

Your car likely has an OBD-II port as well as the OBD-I port. Have you read the codes?

I would think more a problem with the coolant temperature sensor being bad and giving a false signal or possibly the fuel pump relay heating up and not closing again once it was heated.

Have you done any diagnostic work yet ?? Have you checked to see if you have spark when the vehicle is in it's no start condition ??
How does it start cold ??
Do you have a check engine light on ??

well, it's actually my mothers car and my father has been having trouble troubleshooting it, so i'm trying to help.

he said they changed the crank position sensor already, no luck. it starts fine when it's cold, she only has problems in the summertime

i don't think the car is throwing any codes either, but i'll double check. thanks for the quick responses

My fuel pump relay would stop working when it got too hot. It would always stop working if I ran the car for virtually any amount of time because it would get too hot, so if I drove the car for a bit and shut it off, then shortly tried to start it, it would refuse.
