1997 850 t5 wagon ecu short???
hello. not new to the site, but new to posting. i have a 1997 volvo 850 t5 wagon. it threw a p0103 code, mass air sensor, voltage too high. i have traced the foreign voltage to the 12v lead and the signal lead being shorted togther. the wire to the ecu from the maf sensor are clean, no shorts between any of the leads. when i plug the ecu back, i get a 12 ohm short between the 12 volt battery lead and the signal ground lead, thus my excess voltage giving me the code. 2 questions. is there anything else i need to check to see if the short is coming from anywhere other than the ecu itself. 2nd question, what ecu's are compatable with my car?? thanks, al

thank you. i found that the pin comin from the maf power ground had blown a gap in it, right inside the ecu. but that was my code, i assume, no return for my 12V, so excess. god i hope so. how much for a ecu? obviously it is known to be good? any remapping, or standard 1997 2.3 t5? i shouldnt have to worry about re-programming this, should i? i really dig this sight. i would of had to get rid of the 850 years ago, if not for this site, google, and youtube!! let me know
