1995 Volvo 850 GLT door lock problems
hello I have a 1995 Volvo 850 GLT with quite a few problems. But the most annoying and inconvenient one is the fact that both back doors do not open at all. and the passenger front door only opens from the outside. i took the panel off of the rear driver door as much as i could (could only partially take it off cause door won't open) and i replaced the plastic C hook that broke with a metal wire and it worked just fine, BUT then i made the mistake of accidentally pushing the child lock button that is inside the door and when it closed it would not open from the inside anymore. So now that door will absolutely not open. Anyone know how to fix the door to make it open from the outside?? If i could open it from the outside then i could reverse the child lock. Anyone that has any advice or information please let me know! Im sick of only one door working and its not safe when there are people in the back seat. I refuse to drive my brothers or nephew in my car because god forbid i got in an accident and they could not get out in time because the back doors won't open.
Hi Kaitbrin, are you getting in the car with an FOB or are you using a key to get into the passenger door? After I lost my FOB the only way I could get in was through the passenger door with a key. When I replaced the FOB everything went back to normal.
