Hi i have a 1996 850 2.5Dtdi with a Foult code EF 132 Engine coolant temp (ECT) sensor signal. Where is the sensor?
There is a worning light on the dash and the rad fan is running all the timeeven 10min after the ignition is turned off?
Haynes do not do a manual for the 2.5 D tdi is the engine the same as the audi A6???

I've heard the TDI is a Volkswagen engine but it may also be an Audi engine. Porsche, Audio and Volkswagen seem to be surgically attached to each other. The TDI never came to North America so us Yanks have no clue. I tried to pull something up onVADIS but my version doesn't support that engine.

I know that was no help but I imagine that it is different than the petrol engine.

A bad ECT sensor causes the fan run on problem on the petrol engines as well.
