Default 1996 850 Where is Signal relay "Flasher" ?

Where is the signal relay or flasher located for a 1996 Volvo 850? I went to autozone and they said it should be by the fuse box but I don't think that is correct. Is a signal relay the same as the flasher? I understand it should be an easy fix but I can't find the flasher or signal relay for my car. Thanks for your help.

The hazard switch is the relay.

What is the actual problem? Symptoms? That hazard switch is about 6" long compared to the 1" deep other switches.

The Signals and Hazzard lights are not working. There is no sound or lights flashing. I checked the fuse box under the hood on the drivers side for the small ten amp fuse and changed it but I still do not have signals. I read around and they mentioned the signal relay. Thank you.

it is located under the drivers side under dash cover, i believe 2 t25 screws to remove the cover and the location will be nestled up to the left

Is the turn signal flasher part of the hazard switch or are you saying it's under the drivers side dash ??

I think there are 2 separate flashers, one for turn signals and one for hazards. Hazard flasher is built into switch and turn signal flasher is under dash.

According to my schematic there's only one flasher and it's integrated into the emergency flasher switch as tech said. Usually when you have a flasher issue the emergency flasher switch is the problem.

I went out tonight and I'm pretty sure it's the $100 flasher switch that is controlling the turn signals. I didn't see a separate flasher anywhere in the wiring schematic either.
Time to go to the junk yard and get one to perform surgery on to see if I can piggyback an electronic turn signal flasher so I can run LED's. I can't get with the idea of installing resistors that run hot, need a safe installation spot, eat up electricity and add to the cost of the conversion when a lot of the reason is to save electricity and load on the alternator.

Any chance anyone has opened one up already
