OK, basically this just started yesterday. When I put the directional on, the frequency of blinking is directly proportional to the pressure applied to the gas pedal. I assume it has something to due with the amount of power going to the alternator ? Any suggestions where to start?

 

First check to output of the alternator.
Then I would look at the Hazard switch. That is the flasher relay.
