Hey guys, i just purchased a 1996 850R and it's missing the rear spoiler. I located a 93 850 spoiler at a junk yard but was wondering if that would fit on my car? I know it needs to have the third brake light on it but wasn't sure if it bolts up the same.

It just clips to the lid, there are no bolts going through the trunk. Also, just an fyi, R spoilers are different than non R spoilers.

 

Would I still be bale to use the spoiler even if it's not a R spoiler? I'm basically concerned about going for and inspection and the third brake light is on the spoiler correct.

 

It should work. If not, let me know. I have a spare 3rd brake light that I took out.

 

Try Erie Auto Parts. I know they have an R. Maybe they still have the spoiler. You really want an R spoiler on an R. I even put an R spoiler on my T5R.

 

Going to pay more for the R specific spoiler, but any spoiler (sans wagon :P) should do the trick as long as the hardware is included!
