Hello, I have a 1996 volvo 850, that is getting to much fuel. When I come to stop it stalls out. Going down the road I can smell unburnt fuel. The plugs are char-coal black. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? Thanks.

 

MAF and O2's

Get some MAF cleaner spray from Autozone and give your maf sensor a good cleaning.

You might also try pulling your ECU and let it re-learn.

 

Could also be a bad fuel pressure regulator... see if the vac line to it is wet with fuel..

 

Thanks I am pretty sure right now that it is the mass air flow sensor
