I have no speedometer. ABS module was repaired and sent back when it did not fix problem. They checked it again and confirmed it is working properly. Have not taken it in to check codes for ABS system. No issues with pedal, not mushy, trac light on also. What should i check next? I am thinking transmission speed sensor.

 

I would check the following:
- Wheel sensors.
- Wiring going into the top of the cluster.

Do you have a CEL? If so, you may want to take the car to a Volvo dealer to have them diagnose it.

 

no CEL, top of what cluster? Brakes? That what i was going to do. $130.00 thanks

 

What do you mean brakes? I did not mention anything about brakes.

Cluster, as in instrument cluster. There are about 28 wires going into the top of it. One of them is a speed signal.

 

I got ya now, I check those but they would not account for for the ABS and trac light. Cruise does not work either.

 

What would NOT account for the ABS / TRAC light?

 

A loose connection behind the cluster.

 

I am not saying that there is a loose connection behind there, I had broken wires withing the coatings.

 

Jbuck I'm having the same problem. I have a 96 R. My abs light is on along with no cruise. Can you tell me where you sent your ABS to get repaired and the cost?
