Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone has ever installed a second 12 volt socket and where you pulled your power wiring from for it. What would be the best way to do that, and where would you recommend pulling power under the dash? I want to have a second one dedicated to my valentine 1. Yes I know there are splitters. But I run my laptop off the other one and would blow fuses like none other running both off the one socket.

Looking to do this to my 1996 850 Sedan. I only have one 12volt socket in front. Need to add an additional 12 volt socket, but not sure on where to connect it at.

 

you can find the sockets on eBay. I'd probably splice into the circuit at the socket in the ashtray and run off that fuse. you may be able to install the new socket inside the console.
