Default 850 94 wagon help

I have an 850 wagon that we can not get started. This car is close to being junked but we have one last person taking a look. We have replaced the starter, the relay switches, and some corroded wires. One mechanic had it running at one point and put the car back together and once again it does not run. We have one mechanic that now believes it is one of the ECU's part. The bosch 0280000965. I have been shopping for a used one and have had no luck. When he trips that particuliar part he gets a code on the fuel line. I am not convinced it is that part and the part is expensive new. Is anyone aware of a way to verify if these parts are in fact working and which ones trigger what items on the car. The car will start for a moment with a spray of ether. If there are any immediate opinions of what the problem could be feel free to advise. Thanks so much for any help! Mrmet

Some General quiestions for you.
Does it have spark?
Does it have Fuel?
Does the injector plug have Pulse when cranking?

It could be a bad Cam sensor,Mass Flow, and some other things.

Yes, it does have spark, and it has fuel. Will check the injector plug. When the 2nd ecu (middle) is connected there is a faint light and when we disconnect it goes on. There are no codes. Will check the cam sensor and mass flow. Feel free to keep suggestions coming any help appreciated

Look closely at the plug for the Cam sensor they are known to fall apart.

I'll take a look, would that cause the injectors not to get fuel, because the spark plugs are dry and thats the problem

Just wanted to send a short note. 850 Volvo is finally running. It ended up being a short in the wiring harness and an inline fuse. Thanks so much for all the help.. Mrsmets
