850 accident
hi everyone, I recently got in an accident an need to replace everything from the cooling system up. I also need a hood and airbags, I enjoy my car to much to even think of putting it up for sale. If anyone know where I might be able to find these things I would greatly appriciate it. ttyl

Plenty of places to buy these parts. Erie Volvo is a good place with reasonable prices. It really depends on where you live. I would try and get one the same color to save money on painting.

RE: 850 accident
Hey -
Sorry to hear about your accident. I had a similiar situation just recently, although I wasnt covered for my own body damage by insurance. I checked ebay, which has a lot of great aftermarket parts. I got a perfect copy of the headlight and sidemarker, for very very cheap. When it came to replacing the hood and right side front fender I realized it was going to be sickening how much I'd pay for the body parts, then to have them installed and painted.
I wanted to do it for the least expense possible, so Ichecked all the junkyards in my area for an 850 in the same color (white) as mine.
Non had any, but theres a database that one of them used to search all over for the parts I needed. I just called them to ask for the url. I'll post back as soon as I get it.
I found one about 2.5 hours from my house and got the exact color body parts for next to nothing and installed them myself. They came off a 850 that had a blown transmission. To look at my car now, you'd never know it had a fender bender. Check it out if you're willing to use junk parts.
One more useful source is craigslist. Do a search for volvo in your areas and look for one thats up for sale as a parts car.

The best is www.car-part.com . You can find by distance from your zip and in a lot of cases, it has the color listed as well. Good luck. - AB
