850 boost question
Hey guys
I am new to Volvo cars, trying to find out on how many pounds of boost runs stock 1996 850 Turbo? And any simple mods to increse it? Thank you.

Stock should be at 5-8psi stock, and you can run 10-12psi (the fuel cut off is at 15.5psi).
You can buy an MBC (manual boost controller) and turn the boost that way or you can turn the wastegate rod (but this way is not really recommended).
Buy a MBC at boostcontrollers.com and get guages at egauges.com and get the gaugepods at gaugepods.com.
First thing you should do is install a aftermarket boost gauge and check what you are running. Also it is recommended that you do a stage zero before running more boost.
Stage zer is like a regular maintenance/tune up (spark plugs, oil change. new plug wires, dist.cap/rotor...ect).
