Help!

Door chime comes on randomly
When I am driving down the road the door chime will start to go off and the courtesy light comes on. If I open the door and slam it stops. It used to only happen one time per morning commute but now it happens repeatedly. Could it be a fuse? I really want it to be something easy....

Shirley, next time the door chime acts up, check if the dome light stops working as well (or if its even working properly now) - they share a circuit so that may help determine if it's related to the dome light, the relay or the switch - which is inside the door..

 

My dome lights work fine. How do I check the switch? What am I looking for? It is getting worse, dinged almost the whole way into work today.
