Ok guys,

I have a question about exchanging out controls on my AC. I bought an 850 a few weeks ago and the AC control is not pproperly working. The button on the left temp. side is broken and the settings are frozen on front vent. I have found a replacement, and have seen the link on here to how to replace it step by step.. In reality is this really easy? To me it seems like you slide the control out, unplug. Plug the new one in and slide back into slot. I guess I'm just trying to figure out what I am getting into???

 

As long as you have an ECC system it is that easy.

Yes slide the radio out. Then reach up and push the climate module out and unplug and install new one.

 

Ok, one last question.... When I unplug the radio, am I going need the radio code? I don't have it, butI can go up to Fields and have them look it up.

 

You don't have to unplug the radio just slide it out and let it hang.
