Default 850 glt mount ?

i just got a 850 glt, all the mounts are blown out, unless it is normal for the motor to move around an inch, but i was wanting input about this idea i got, would it be ok if i made solid mounts all around for it? it will be more torquey but would it hurt anything?

What do you mean the engine is moving? Like when you press on the gas? There will be some movement, I don't know about an inch. There is someone on VS working around the idea of solid motor mounts, I think you will get serious vibrations.

Here is a link about mounts. https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-850-16/engine-vibration-noise-but-new-mounts-36439/

If you make solid mounts you will need a new set of teeth every two weeks. I have a couple of poly mounts and it gets on my nerves sometimes.

Solid mounts = bad idea. Not only will it rattle your teeth but it will slowly break your car apart. You would not be happy with the outcome. As rspi stated, poly is bad enough. I had a poly and switched back to stock. The new engine I have is a poly too...I just bought a stock upper mount to replace it. I cant stand the vibration.
