Red face 850 oil leak

guys l need your opinion on this.any input will be appreciated.l just helped my friend change his lifters. but after put back everything there is an oil leak coming from the cam cover.it is located right on top of where the thermostat housing is located.is there any sealant out there l could use to seal the leak?something someone has tried to seal oil leaks.l dont want to go through all that trouble taking everything apart again.thanks

Unfortunately, thats probably exactly what you are going to have to do. SOunds like either there was a small foreign object stuck in there, or you missed a spot with the gasket maker. It sucks, but its gona be the only way to fix it right.

ouch.this sucks brother.l will seal it with some permatex sealant for a while till l get the chance to take everything apart.if the permatex does stop the leak l will just leave it like that and keep adding it to temporally stop the leaks.

Don't frustrate yourself with all the vain attempts to patch it. The job should only take about 4 hours. You'll waste that much time trying 40 different patches, not to mention the mess you'll make trying.

thanks brother.l wil patch it for now because he needs the car.l will work on it on thursday.l will tear it apart and lift that portion up a lil bit and clean it up. add a lil sealant and screw it back in,it should be fine.or do l have to lift the whole valve cover up?what do you think?
