1993 850 Sunroof only opens 1 way- up- It did work previously going up and back. Bought a new switch on Ebay and it didn't change a thing. When I press the button for it to go back I can hear something click but the roof does not move- Not a big deal but can this be fixed easily-

 

Is it a single click or a repetitive click? If it’s repetitive, you may have a problem with the gears connected to the motor. Is it’s a single click, you may have detritus jamming the glass from sliding properly. If you can see the tracks, (may have to remove the glass), take a look at the tracks and the drain tubes to make sure they’re clean.

 

It is a dual action switch- If you press the top of the switch the rear of the sunroof goes up- if you press the bottom the sunroof stays horizontal and slides back. I can hear something when I press the bottom but nothing moves! How do I remove the glass and how do ! find the drain tubes!
