Hi All,

I a proud to join this site . I have a 96 model 850-T since a year .Today suddenly while tracelling , I saw hot steam rushing out from the place. I took it to a mechanic who suggested replacing the spark plugs , but that doesn't seem to solve the problem . Donno what to do. Can anybody suggest a solution and what could be the problem .. THANKS!!!

Thanks !!!

I will await your reply . Someone also told me it could be the leaky cap from where you put the coolant. But does the coolant/water mixture boil !!!!!!!

Take care ...

Your bottle could be cracked causing it to leak and omit a little steam.Or if it has been topped off recently it could of just released some coolant. Also i would check your thermostat if it is bad it will build to much pressure and boil over.

The thermostat is on the engine where the upper radiator hose meets the engine. There is 2 torxes 40 screws holding the thermostat housing on you need to remove them and the thermostat is under there. The service light needs to be reset with a reset tool.

Hi Tech,

How expensive is the reset tool and is it relatively easy to use?

Im not 100% sure of the price but I think it is expensive. The light goes off after a little but if you can live with that then you don't need it.
