Hey.... How was everyone's Turkey day? Mine was good. My 1995 T5R
Volvo stopped boosting a couple days ago. The boost gauge on the dash doesn't go past the half way mark regardless how many RPM'S. In the past
just under 2000 RPM'S the boost gauge would take off, not anymore.
With some investigation I think its the bypass valve on the turbo.
Any suggestions or comments on how to proceed would be great.

Make sure the wastegate rod is not off the lever a the turbine housing.

Then, take the CBV to check.

 

You called it. Thanks my friend. I removed the heat shield on the turbo and sure enough the wastegate rod was disconnected. I connected it and the boost came back. That was easy..... with your help.
