Default 850 T5R Wagon, Good Deal?

My 90' 760 Turbo with 206000 needs a good amount of $ to fix up and am thinking of putting into a wagon.

I have a chance on a 95' 850 T5R wagon. It black and seems to be in good cosmetic condition. It has 147000 on it and the AutoCheck seems ok. I haven't heard if there is any service records for the car.

Here is the description from the seller:
"THE INTERIOR IS IN EXLNT SHAPE, THE BODY IS ALSO EXLNT! THIS IS ONE OF THE CLEANEST CARS VOLVOS I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME! THIS CAR RUNS AND DRIVES EXLNT, ALL THE POWER FEATURES WORK! THIS CAR HAS REALY BEEN BABYIED!"

The price would be $3,150. Any comments on if that's a good deal? What kind of mileage would one expect from this car?

TIA

Thanks,

dave

I'm surprised by the lack of response/advice fromAmerican members of this forum who would have a much better idea than meif the vehicle you are looking at is a good buy but, the car as described, does seem an attractive proposition (but remember I'm in Australia).

If it hasa FULLY VERIFIED SERVICE HISTORY (FSH) it may be worth further investigation. If it doesn't have a FSH then I wouldwouldspend the $'s to getit inspectedby a reputable auto club that provide these inspection type of facilities.

If everything is good, then that is a very very very good deal.

Have a mechanic check it out. And I would contact the seller TONIGHT or first thing TOMORROW. This deal is not going to last long if it's as good as I think it is.

Sorry I haven't been on for a couple days. I agree that that is a very good deal. Make sure it's a T5R by looking at the 6th and 7th position of the vin. It should be 58. A 95 T5R wagon is a very hard car to find. If it were yellow it would be one of about 25 imported to the US. I doubt if there were more than 100 black ones.
