850 timing gear positions???? help
hi, ANYBODY know this. I replaced the head on the 1995 850 turbo. drove , ran great , had oil leak, seal on camshaft at gear side, distributor cam. replaced seal, forgot where to bolt gear back on. i lined up the gears to the notches on the plastic cover. the gear closest to cabin did not move, crank did not move, only the cam when removing the 3 bolts that hold on gear. NOW QUESTION IS, what postitoin is the cam sopostobe in so that I can bolt gear on, while alining notche/blue marks in reference to plastic cover/notch.I need to know where the rotor is /needs to point. If i got the rotor direction, then, I can turn camshaft to match, then bolt gear w/notch to match cover. does this make sence...???? does to me,
