Default 850 Turbo Wheels

Hello,
I was just wondering if you find is odd for a 1994 Volvo 850 turbo Wagon to have steel wheels and hubcaps. I think alloy wheels were standard, and I am not sure why someone would change them. I am just curious.

-Thanks

Alloy wheels are indeed standard.

I got stuck w/ the steelies too. Previous owner took the alloys. The steelies I had had great snow tires, but they were cracking so they're unusable.

Ok thanks, because, if I get this car, it is the second Volvo Turbo I buy that should have had Alloys, but had steels. Oh well, I guess its not to big of a deal.

-thanks

Just makes upgrading the wheels make more sense than if you alread had alloys!

I got my 850 turbo wagon with steel wheels also, the reason was the car was to low with the big wheels and low profile tires, we live in a rural area with a dirt driveway. The previous owner had put on smaller wheels and taller tires to increase the clearance under the car! i could probably buy the beautiful wheels but I also need the clearance. Someday when I have extra money I will buy some smaller alloys I guess.
