Default 850R Upsolutle tune

Hi. i just recently purchased an upsolte tune for my 850. its a 17psi tune. so this is how it went.Upon installation i mad sure it was installed properly. when i first got it i took it for a test run down my street once. 2 Hours later i took a few runs on the highway. i spooled up to about 17psi two or three times. then right following this it would not boost past 4-5psi. (barley) I looked over everything in my car and nothing came up. So after this i put my stock ecu back in and the car ran perfectly normal, it spooled up great. So following this i tried the upsolule tune in a 95 t5 and it did the same exact thing, barley got to 4psi.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening. I am very discouraged about this seeing i only had it for one day before it stopped working. Any help would be great!

Sounds like it's going into limp mode. Pull the codes to see if you get anything.

Hmmm, at first thought before I read your entire thread I laughed and thought you blew a hose. Then I thought Oh, it works with the OEM but then I thought about it and still think you might have a hose issue. What boost are you getting out of it with the stock ecu? When you put in the 17psi, does it try to go to about the same boost as your stock ecu but then fade to 4-5?

with the stock ecu around 12-13, my buddies t5, around 14. When i put in the tune it dosent fade to 4, it just gets there and stays. i dont think it a hose, only because its acting the same exact way on two different cars

Are you running the factory BCS or a MBC?
Waste gate adjusted properly?

Do you have a MBC on the car at all?
If so bypass the factory BSC and see if it will build boost them. But make sure you have the MBC pretty low first.

When I installed my upsolute tune with the BCS I was only boosting 7 same as the OEM ECU. I had a fit and gave up and installed the MBC and set it to 14 PSI and went.
Then ECU still adjusts properly for the boost.

If you bypass the BCS and get boost then there is an issue with the ECU adjusting boost with the BCS.

But if you had the BCS bypassed nothing should shut the boost down. If you have nothing controlling the boost(BCS) then there is nothing to limit the boost but the vent on the MBC.

So with the stock ECUs the cars acted completely normal? Throw in the upsolute tune and neither will boost past 4 psi? Could something with the ECU just not be giving the car enough juice to make it past 4 psi?

The only thing the ECU will control for boost is the BCS.

It sounds like it has to be the ECU. If it does that same thing in both cars then it has to be the ECU.

So you got a bad tune. I'd send it back and get my money back or have them reprogram it and see if it does the same thing.
