Hello,
I have a 93 850 glt that overheated on me over 1 year ago. Since this was an extra car I own, I just let it sit on my property. I wanted to know if a newer volvo engine would fit on my car and if it would pass emmissions for California. I want to find someone that is good at "hot rodding" this car. I recently bought a cts-v, and would like at least 300HP from this volvo. If someone knows a mechanic or shop in California, I am willing to invest some money into this project.

A new camshaft, bored cyl, oversized pistons, higher pressure turbo... you could do 300hp. But its been my experience that when HP increases so does the likelyhood that you will end up breaking something. Tranny might need to be beefed up, no idea how, and axles as well.... Id say go for it!!! and keep us up to date.
