'93 850 no start after engine replacement...
i own a small shop and bought a friends car after his timing belt broke and bent all the valves......instead of tearing it all apart to fix whats needed,i decided to install a lower milage used motor from a reputable shop that works on them.....that motor came out of a running car so i know it was ok....well,upon installation i tried firing it up and it wouldn't start....it has no spark or injector pulse upon cranking....however i get one pulse and one spark from coil wire upon turning on the key,and one turning it off.....i have limited knowledge of checking cam and crank signals using a scope, but need to learn.....the crank sensor has two wires and the cam has three.....i have a snap-on verus that has limited volvo ability but from what i've checked so far,my crank sensor is oscillating from 0 to 1/2 volt (not in square block but more like tee-pee shape)....is this a god pattern?.....also when i check my cam sensor the voltage goes to 10 1/2 volts and stays there, with no oscillation....i can only assume there is an issue there?.....also i have 7 volts on my ground wire?....what can be the issue when i had two running cars and now i have ONE that won't run?....i've also swapped both sensors out with the same results....any help is appreciated....steve

7 volts on the ground wire? No spark or injector pulse makes me think further up the electrical circuits because different inputs cause those two electrical events. Spark is repetition, injector pulses are sequential. Look for reasons both aren't happening. I'm sure you've looked for the obvious ground wires not connected (There are two straps from cylinder head to chassis.)
