RE: 94 850 Cruise Control
Tech,
Yesterday I checked the lines connected to the Cruise Control motor under the battery tray. You were right, acid from the battery had eaten through one of the lines. I spliced the line and reconnected everything. The Cruise Control motor was perfectly intacted, no corrosion there. But still the Cruise Control doesn't work. Even if there was a problem with the lines coming off the Cruise Control motor, wouldn't the indicator light on the instument panel still illuminate when switched to the "on" position, but just wouldn't engage? Could it be an electrically problem with the Cruise Control switch in the steering column or could it be possibly the Cruise Control motor, under the battery tray, is bad? Is there a way to check and see whether or not there is power getting to the motor or if the Cruise Control motor itself is bad? Thank you once again in advance.

It is a pain to check it from here.
You really need to have a wiring diagram to do more fault tracing from here.
If you can try to supply vaccum to that line with the car turned off and see if the gas pedal goes to the floor.
If it does then the vaccum lines are all good.
If not there is still a leak somewhere.
If it goes to the floor then it is either electrical or the motor.
Let me try to get some info from a friend about how to jump the wiring to activate the motor.
That is how you test it.
I have done it tons of times but forget the connectors to jump it at.
