Default Rear Dampers

Hi,

New to the forum and based in UK. Can anyone tell me where the top mounting point is for the rear dampers (shock absorbers) on a 1997 850 estate (station wagon?). I've looked in the rear of the car expecting to see a mounting bolt on top of the wheel arch but its all covered in trim panels. I dont want to start removing the trim if I dont have to. I need to change the rear dampers and will get a friend to fit the new ones if its a fairly simple job.

Thanks in advance, Maureen.

If I remember correctly you will have to remove panels to get to them.
