94 850 problem starting after warm
I am trying to help my Dad get his "workhorse" daily driver repaired for him. It has left him stranded a few times lately. The car will not fire sometimes when it is very warm outside or after it has been running for a while. In the morning when it is cooler outside the car starts and runs fine. He is a teacher and when he is leaving school in the evening (still hot outside) it will not fire. The starter is working fine and there is plenty of battery strength. He says he smells fuel but it will not fire. This has also happened when he stopped for fuel during the drive home and the engine was at normal operating temp.
I have not checked the car myself yet, but will tomorrow. Thanks

You need to check to see if you have spark when it isn't starting. Also carry a can of starting fluid and when it won't start give it a shot to see if that helps.
You must be dropping either spark or fuel and you need to find out which.
Is there a check engine light ??
You might have a bad temperature sensor.
