94 850 Turbo - dying a low rpms
It started yesterday after I got her running, I noticed that when Income to a stop the idle drops very low and often times she will die. It was worse in the morning and I had to start her a few times before being able to get her to move. I made it to my work and I pulled DTC codes and only found one 2-3-1 for a Long Term Fuel Trim Partload. I just recently replaced the turbo inlet pipe with a bigger silicone pipe (do88) and I’m suspecting that I’m getting too much vacuum now and I might possibly need to adjust my idle. One of my lines going into my vacuum free was sucked in but I don’t know. Just replaced plugs, coils, ignition cap + rotor. Just wanting to know what everyone thinks.
test fuel pressure? check vacuum lines and the intake air tubing - if nothing see about a smoke test. RobertDIY has both a Youtube vid on how to measure fuel pressure and how to make a home made smoke tester. Any signs/sounds of an exhaust leak? Have you checked the PCV system? They are prone to clogging up on the 850s - try a rubber glove test to see if you have positive crank case pressure. Last thing to check is the ECT sensor (located right under the thermostat cover). the temp sensor won't throw a code per se but if you see odd behavior in the temp gauge, that's a clue. Measure the resistance - google for a temp/resistance chart.
