Default 94 850T smoke

guys, before anything else, i'd like to thank all the contributors and members of this forum. i have read all the post here regarding white smoke and all suggested repair instruction on this. now here's our situation:

my son recently bought a 94 850 turbo station wagon. the white smoke coming out of the tail pipe is so thick you could not see the car if you're driving behind it. i have started to dis assemble the intake manifold to be able to access the oil separator (vent or pvc) as well as the ptc and here's what i found.

1. the ptc (big black box) is as dry as the desert with no indication of it being blocked. and not even a trace of oil is also present inside it and at the port on the engine side.
2. i can't remember when i pulled out the ptc (with the whole intake hose) if it was clogged. nevertheless, it's now cleaned and i could see that there is really nothing inside (hollow space). is this how it's suppose to be?
3. in some illustrations, they say that there is a small vacuum tube attached from the black box to the passenger side end of the intake manifold. mine has none of this.
4. i removed all the spark plugs and found them okay, no trace of oil or burnt oil in them. which i think would indicate worn out rings and valve seals.
5.before i took it apart, i started the motor and did not find any of the white smoke coming out of the dip stick and the oil filler cap, indicating head gasket problem.
6. checked coolant reservoir for traces of oil... none.

i surely would like to fix this motor coz i heard a lot of good things aout this car model. i'll appreciate all the help you can give us.

thanks a lot

sounds like an issue with the turbo if you ask me... that or rings maybe?

dont think a clogged vent system would cause such a thick smoke.like always, i agree with the genious(850tony).search the forum..there are alot of good step by step instructions for checking the turbo.

Default turbo

just done pulling out the turbo. found that the impeler don't turn. it's out of center. so the seals are busted too causing oil to come out and mix with air going into the intake mfld which has a lot of oil in it. the exhaust mfld is clean and no amount of carbon build up so i think there's no problem with valve seals or p rings.

thanks tony for the tip.
