Im looking to get into an 850. Ive found both wagons and sedans. The wagon has 150k on it and is a 5 speed. so standard base model. The sedan is the glt with auto. My 944 auto is horrible, and im hesitant to buy another auto but i know its just luck of the draw. The major concern for me is the auto for a turbo. I know they are usually strong, but the issues ive had with mine make me never want to drive a auto again. Are the Trannys usually stronger as a 5sp or auto? Also the longevity of the GLT's great or longer than the base n/a motors. HP from the n/a850 is about the same as the turbo 944 i currently have. What are the suggestions? im not looking for major power or speed, mostly longevity and less maintance cost. Usually N/a with 5spd's are bullet proof. Also as far as the wagons go, how does the suspension differ between the two? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks.
