'95 850 Alternator Issue (100amp)
hello;
question related to battery location in an 850 4-door.
95 volvo 850:
i wired my battery from under the hood to the trunk. the car powered up for a few days during testing (other unrelated work)... and no electrical issues at that point.
it ran in idle, revved etc no issues whatsoever.
took it for a test drive, then it blew my 100amp stock volvo alternator. 10+ mins approx runtime on road.
ANY help/ideas would be helpful.
'could' it be an issue with the computer? initially i assume the obvious and think its an issue with the draw re: new length of lines to battery, but if there is ANOTHER school of thought on this, please enlighten me
ps
NEED battery to STAY in trunk.
HELLPP!!
