Alternator v. Electrical Issue
Hi.
I am new to this group.
On Friday I bought an 07 AWD S80 with a V8. My wife and I were both thrilled with the car It has 27k miles.
But yesterday it died in the middle of a major highway while traveling approx 25 mph uphill, i.e. not stopped at a light.
I could not get it into nuetral to push off the highway so it was taken be flatbed back to the used car dealership which gave me a loaner and promised to have it repaired.
Is this a sign of an electrical problem that may haunt me for years to come or is it more likely an isolated issue that can be repaired?
