Default 95 850 not boosting past 5psi loose ptc grommet

my 95 850 is not boosting past 5psi, and it seems i have a rather loose ptc grommet, since that is past the maf and if its sucking in extra air, do you think that could cause it not to boost past 5 because the a/f is slightly off due to the little bit of xtra air?

It is possible. Also check all your intercooler hoses.

You are better off replacing the entire hose. Try to find a good used one. Not sure if you can get a grommet seperate

Maybe but if it was not working at all then you would have full boost.
Also check where the waste gate arm attaches. If the arm it attaches to is raised any that might be your problem.

They will slightly move over time and then do this.

Where the red arrow is pointing is where you need to check. You can also see in the pic when it is raised like that it does not seal.

did you look at the IAC hoses? Right after I put silicone on mine I floored it and blew out one (the top, IAC to vacuum tree). They see the pressure too and they have no reinforcing. I sent my bad hose to stylinmotors and they said they'd add a silicone replacement to their product line.

You carefully tap the arm back down till it seals.
