yeah i'm not even completely done with the settings yet. I'm gonna try a plethora of settings, and i ultimately want the MBC to stay in place of the BCS. I'm gonna try to get the wastegate as close to stock as i can. I might be getting a wastegate from a 16T on friday so maybe i'll put that on, or modfiy the t3 10psi to have a longer arm and start finicking with it.

If you can drop the 16T one on there. It should be as close to stock as you can get.
I bet once you get it all fixed the car will fly good.

I need to finish messing with mine when I can get back to work and grab a few more parts.

Hopefully we can get this thing in check soon.

When i was getting that hesitation in the powerband, i think it was just fuel cut and the engine cutting back because. f i were to force it to run lower boost but still spool really quick, it would do the same thing it would hit fuel cut but then after like 2-3 seconds it would start pulling again.

i want to finish this up so i can get some new mods. I want a sharphid kit and suspension work, i'm on stock everything right now.

i got the car dialed in at 11psi so far. Now i'm feeling the true power/potential of this car. At 11psi it feels amazing. With my adjustments so far, boost is very linear and motor just purrs along now, no more fuel cut or hesitation. The upcoming challenge is to dial it to 17psi with the combination of wastegate/mbc adjustments and still keep it linear.

I noticed on the mbc that i can get more boost in the lower gears compared to the stock ecu. So if i set it to 17lbs of boost, will 1st gear boost that high? Or will the ecu still cut?

I think you will still boost that high. Even with my stock one I go right to 13 or 14 on take off.
I always have to be careful because the tires want to break loose.

If it is really cool outside I will hit fuel cutoff on mine before hitting 25MPH.

i'm running into a problem with my mbc, if i close it all the way, i get 8psi of boost, if i open it half way i get about 11, and if i open it up almost till the end, i only get 6psi, what do i have to do?

Did you open the MBC to make sure it is all clean?

Maybe something is wrong with it.

I bought a cheap one for the wifes car and got an expensive one for my car and had problems with mine but never with the wifes.

i'm using this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/THE-O...Q5fAccessories , it looks clean to me, is there a special way to use this or something? I have the compressor line going to the side input, and the top output is going to the wastegate.

Thats almost like the one I have. It sounds like it is hooked up right as well.
What happens if you just remove the waste gate line?
Again it should boost at full potenial.

hi tech. I just went and test drove it with the wastegate line disconnected. Mind you, even though the wastegate flap is open by a couple of mm, and i was boosting at a very solid, linear 9psi, and it felt fast. What can be up with my MBC? I just checked the connections and i also sprayed pressuired air through the inside and bleed hole.

The only thing i can think of is the inner diameter of the hoses is too small? the line coming from the compressor to the mbc is around a lil less than 1/8" ID, and the one goin from the mbc to the wastegate is just a hair over 1/8". They fit so tight to where they don't need fasteners at the end. Is this possible?

I doubt it. I am wondering if the spring is to loose in the MBC not allowing it to seal good.

well i took it apart and the diameter of the spring is smaller than the mbc housing. it wiggles around in there, but it fits over the ball. isn't the boost supposed to go down if you tighten the nut on the mbc, and raise if you loosen it?

i have another possibility, do you think the spring is getting stuck against the threads inside the mbc, so when you unscrew it the thread is keeping it from uncompressing?
