'95 850 - Where, oh where, is the CD changer connections?
Hi y'all!
A few months ago some jackhole broke the antenna off my car & since my cassette player is older than Jesus' sandals, it doesn't work either. We replaced the antenna, but it's still not picking up stations that well & radio music sucks.
Our car has a "CD" button on the radio, so I am assuming there is a connection for a disc changer somewhere in the car.
But where is it? I'd like to say I've looked for it, but I don't really know what I am looking for or where to start looking.
Thank you!

Oh snap! I forgot to add that I have read the how-to directions on installing a MP3 jack in the car (http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/fre...lvo-radio.html) but I was hoping for something a little less elbow-deep-in-the-dashboard.

So, I took a pic of my radio to see if you could tell me if it has a CD changer button (I've never had a car with a CD changer in it before & this is only the second car I've owned with a working radio so I'm an idiot).
If someone did run the cables for me, they'd be in the trunk.. but what do they look like? & would I be able to hook an MP3 player through those?
If they didn't run the cables, is the link I posted before my best option for adding music to my car?
Please forgive my dust. It has been raining or I have been super busy every one of my days off in the past 2 months I was too busy with Mardi Gras to clean my car!

That guide uses the audio connection for the tape deck on the inside of the head unit, so no, on the off chance someone ran the cd changer cable I don't think you can easily use it to hook up a MP3 player (and as for the CD button, I'm only telling you what I've read online; I've never seen an 850 with the remote cd changer installed. Everyone seems to agree that you need a unit with the CHGR button. So I don't know exactly what the CD button was supposed to do.).
Since you say the cassette doesn't work, there's no guarantee that method you linked will work. The easiest solution I think, would be to either buy a replacement head unit, or get one of those MP3 FM transmitters for about $20. That would be the easiest solution.

Yeah .. we have used the transmitters .. they just don't work as well as hooked in audio would, so I was looking to upgrade.
I wonder if it will be worth the time/money/hassle to just get a new, upgraded stereo installed (either DImyself, a friend or a pro). Any suggestions for something that will fit in the car? Since it is a radio/cassette together I am going to have to find something just as big.
