Default 96 850 fm radio

Hi all, there is an 850 turbo I'll be buying and I'm working through the various bugs and fixes that will be needed.

One issue is the European spec radio - the fm only goes from 70 - 90 so I can't get any of the radio stations here. Not really a big deal but I was wondering if there is a re-coding that can be done or some other solution?

Not to my knowledge. You can get the US spec radio's a dime a dozen. If you need one let me know, I have a spare with a 3.5 mm head phone jack installed for use with phones and MP3 players.

Only the SC 901 and 900 have the possibility to change the market however the choices there will not help you much (AUS, EU, US)...
I find it weird that the radio does not work in Oman as there are specific settings for the arabic market (instrument cluster related)

It is strange, although I don't have any experience with other European cars here. The digital dial just runs from 70.0 up to 90 and then back to 70. There are no English radio stations below that frequency. I'm not too bothered anyway, mostly what I need is the aux input for an iPod - you can buy those cassette adapters but they aren't any good for sound quality.

What Radio do you have ? Modell SC-xx or CR-xx? For the SC Radios there is an interface (Yatour) which emulates a CD changer for the radio. You can use SD, USB & AUX with it. There is also a version with Bluetooth which can play music over Bluetooth and also works as a handsfree device.
The SC Radios actually go from 88 to 108 at least the european ones which I saw. The US version afaik have no RDS (Radio Data System) and can tune only odd frequencies but have the FM Band going from 88 to 108.
