Well i had a chance to look under the car yesterday and found out that my charcoal canister is busted. I went to the local salvage yard and was only able to salvage one off of a 95 960. The one on the 850 has 2 hose connections to it and the third that is suppose to be blocked off. The 960 however has 3 hose connections to it and one that is blocked off. It looks like the extra connection on the 960s one may be for the purge valve, or maybe it is the purge valve built in to the canister.

Anyways my question is, can i use this for my 850? Im thinking the fuel fumes are coming because of that. Surprisingly though, i dont get a check engine light!!!

Update:

I just connected the 960 canister to the hoses from the 850. The extra one i just blocked it off. I started it for a few seconds and no check engine light or anything but i didnt want to keep it on toolong until i made sure wioth you guys that i can use it.

Again, the original canister on the car was busted and i could not find one from a 850.

Might work for now I would try to find a 850 one soon.
