Is it possible to check the mass air flow sensor on a 97 turbo 850 GLT with a multimeter? I have a Haynes manual, but it's not very informative.

I know you can but I have not done it in a long time so i forget what the numbers should be. Is the car not running well?

FCP, Sorry I didn't answer sooner. I escaped the snow for awhile and just got to a computer. No, the car is not running well. It misses and shakes, cuts ot if you try to climb a hill. The codes show a secondary air system issue and running too rich. I've been trying to dissect the info on the forums before I throw a lot of money into this
car (my daughter in laws). So far I've rebuilt the PCV system and installed plugs and checked the cap and rotor and the timing. I just can't imagine the air pump having anything to do with this, but I'm a newbie to this breed.
